This was the first Samoan Street video I created.

For actual audio lessons on speaking the Samoan Language, please go to: http://www.waste.org/~danger/samoa_language.html

A Samoan RPCV, Aaron Prust, worked very hard to collect the audio and place it all online for your enhancement.

  • Lol I love dis video..keep postin more of this Samoan Street Vols..lol day should cancel Seasme Street and put this on..can wait fo the other vols

  • @yunguce1 Unfortunately, I posted all the volumes I made onto Youtube. But I do wish another Peace Corps volunteer would take up the mantle and do more editions. One day, hopefully. :)

  • Thanks for these videos. My dad never taught us Samoan, and I am now 22 years old wish I knew the language. I am trying to find as many help guides as possible before I go visit Samoa in a year for my first trip ever to my dad's walk of life. I feel kind of frustrated that I do not know the language, but these videos are definitely a great help in learning the basics and understanding some key pronunciations. Thanks again!

  • @FMAguru2007 Yeah, I really wish more Samoans would post how to speak their language. While I was decent, I wasn't nearly as good as the Peace Corps Volunteers that actually lived in the villages. Glad these could help you just a little bit in your language journey.

  • do white people llearrn this too?

  • @ShiTeine Every member of the Peace Corps in Samoa learns the language - so yes, white people do learn it as well.
