I have played this before, but I was kind of a newbie with the tin whistle, so I'm trying a second attempt. This is by far the song that I know the most. When I learned it, it was the only one that I knew, and I did nothing but practice this one, of course, with speed and ornamentation challenges or at least variations. Then I learned other tunes, but this one still is the natural one I play on the Irish Whistle. Of course I felt like it was time I showed my progress, instead of leaving an old video that doesn't show what I've learned.
Unfortunately, all day long there was noise everywhere! This giant dog started barking each time I found myself prepared to record and the bark was heard from the other side of the street and made echo in my garage. Not surprisingly, there were a few crazy motorcyclists just outside my house trying to beat the score on who made enough noise to scare to life the buried dead.
Even if it was not enough, there seems to be an eternal construction near my house. It never ends, the drilling, the hammering, it never ends!
And of course the commonly heard laughing children outside. I guess I can forgive them, they're children and they're happy.
Anyways, here it is after a lot of attempts, the blackthorn stick and the swallowtail jig.
