  • dont' forget to paint before you put the cover on, or else the first time someone wants to take off that cover they'll have to cut around it and since all you have is the patch.... good chance you'll have to deal with that all over again. I would just make the sheetrock guys come back and put in a drywall patch.. paper is useless.

  • Painting prior to installing the cover is recommended. Yes, paper would be useless, so it is a good thing that this product is manufactured with a patented material that is not paper. The best idea of all is to make the drywall guys simply repair the damage, however we all know this will never happen since ever home improvement and hardware store in the nation carries over sized switch and outlet covers, and have for over 25 years.

  • that single switch is in an illegal switch box! thats rated for low voltage ONLY!

  • haha

    what an invention

    good for hollywood I guess

  • @Hollrobb lol yeah

  • They do make over size switch covers for crap like this.

  • you gotta be border line retarded to use this

  • Is it called the Goof Patch because that's who would use it?

Let's try one on the cigarette burns on the couch.

  • @irich62

I think that is on the drywall guy, not the electrician. Those are new construction boxes, of course not sure why there is a low voltage ring there (orange) I hope there is a box in there...

  • I put stickers over all the mistakes in my house. Last week my uncle Bob fell through the wall. I told him they were only for looking, not leaning but when he gets drunk there's no stopping him.

  • enter the goofy ocupant who sticks his finger through the flimsy patch. well done.

  • Nice quick patch. Something to think about is to use the blue expansion insulation prior to the goof patch. People in cold climates like Chicago would find energy savings even in these small outlets with some insulation.

  • How well did that patch blend on texture wise? I think the smooth patch surface will stick out like a sore thumb...all the boxes should be floated anyways so if you had a half decent drywall guy that would never be a problem.

  • This looks ok, but it is really a half-ass repair.

  • nice

  • perfect..thanks!

  • magic
