this is the same kind of thing that i saw on youtube yesterday filmed by some teenagers in manchester. i think the beam is some kind of scanner, possibly for minerals.

@jamesodinson. The fast moving satellite kept on moving uninterrupted and the geo-stationary satellite remained for another 3-4 minutes before disappearing as the earths shade covered it.
This video is the closest phenomena to the event that I saw and the light "rod" appear identical in brightness although with my sighting the light only flashed in between the two satellites and no further. End---

@jamesodinson. When the fast moving satellite came to within a inch and at about a 45 degree downward angle from the geo-stationary satellite, (if you hold your arm to the sky and use your hand as measurement) a very bright white light, rod shaped flashed in between the two satellites. This happened again at a 90 degree angle which was the closest point the satellites came to each other and again at the same 45 degree exit angle. continue--2--

@jamesodinson, I saw a very similar thing sometime during December 1999 or 2000 (long time ago) over the South Atlantic viewed from South Africa. While watching satellites pass overhead just after dusk, a normal fast moving satellite approached geo-stationary satellite rotating almost overhead. I assume it was a geo-stationary satellite because it stayed in one place and flashed on and off every 2 to 3 seconds for about 4 minutes. Continue--1--

This vid looks virtually identical to my ISS#4 vid. The reason for that is because this IS the ISS. This was filmed December 7, 2007 at 10 after 4 in the morning as the ISS made a fairly bright magnitude -2.9 pass over Rosario, Argentina. The camera operator knew what they were filming, the "lasers" were added by someone else.
Praise Jebus, y'all.

@jamesodinson Seems like this sort of event is happening a lot more often. Were you able to locate the spot where the light beam might have touched down? Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

This was a government test to see if they could pop popcorn with a laser shot from a helicopter.

@moosepok That's funny. Our Gov does spend a lot of money on stupid B.S. I remember a few years back they spent a ridiculous amount of money on a pen that could write in space. All they needed was a pencil.

I'm assuming that's supposed to be in the sky? There's no stars, no city lights, no ambient light, no moving or passing lights...if you're going to fake a video be sure you're smart enough to pull it off.

@k7leetha I hear what your saying but keep in mind the report says it came from a cell phone camera. Most cell phone cameras will never capture stars at night. I think I'm gonna change the title of this post to; Debunking UFO shooting a laser.
