DEATH TO ALL WHO OPPOSE THE WEST!!!!

I hope our government and population realizes that through denying Khadr his rights as a Canadian citizen, regardless of circumstances regarding his situation, it devalues Canadian citizenship and the protection it confers on all of us.

@Obasiliasfilosofos So its ok, to kill an soldier. Theres a good chance the soldier didn't open fire on the little bastard, simply because he was a kid. Now his dead. You tell his children and his widow why his killer, should be allowed to go unpunished. I say send an clear message that if you side with the terrorist even as a child soldier, you will be punished. Besides its an American National we are talking about, so yeah I agree its out of Canadain hands anyways.

U know what, well maybe he shouldn't have thrown that gernade that KILLED the soldier. Hey kid open your eyes, its not beneath the terrorist to use kids to their advantage, sure kids r stupid they don't know, but the terrorist do! At night in most Islamic cities with a strong insurgency, they send the kids out at night to do recon for them! Then they plaster the walls with posters, spray paint..etc of the Jihad Martys of the week!
Fact : Omar killed an American Citizen, enuff said!

I really don't think it would be fair to treat Omar Khadr like he was mature independent adult back in 2000-2002 who could say no to his father and make a choice for himself.
The boy was used and abused his hole life, Like it or not he fits the definition of a brainwashed child soldier.

The Canadian government has made if very clear they do not want Omar back in Canada. He will be a welfare recipient for life, just like his family. His sister promotes terrorism, even though she gets money in the mail from Canadian taxpayers every month. Set Omar free, but don't let him ever step back on Canadian soil.

Well, that's deliciously racist of you, Normalman48. You nearly made some good points about the cost of rehabilitation and who it affects, but you got a little blinded by inflammatory rhetoric by the end.
-
No not according to the UN he is not a Child soldier , he is traitor so lets bring him back to serve his 25 year prison term .

Hello Posts - I fully agree with you, that a child soldier can be rehabilitated. Omar should be released and rehabilited, but not in Canada. We are already providing "Welfare for life" for this three family members here, so why should we finance his rehabilitation program? Omar and his three family members should be sent back to the desert, where they can roam with the camels, and prepare for their next assault on the free world.
Ok he is a citizen then and since he is and was fighting against Canada , he should be charged with treason .

Okay, under that logic, he was a child and he should be considered a child soldier.

The Canadian government should not jail Omar. First, he needs to be put through a judicial process, which means he is still innocent until proven guilty. As tragic as 9-11 is, using that as cause of guilt is not good enough. Just because we feel that we have been denied human rights does not mean it's okay to deny others' rights. That can unfortunately breed more hatred, which in turn, can breed more terrorism.

@Normalman50
I did not make claims to innocence or guilt, which you are implying that I did. I think he should be brought back to Canada, and face an open judicial process. Unfortunately, Guantanamo Bay has not been an open or a fair judicial process. It removed it's prisoners' (detainees') human rights, and there are allegations of torture. Therefore, bringing him back to Canada, in my opinion, is not just giving him a free pass.
