This was a Granada educational program from 1989 about business, using Factory Records and the selling/promotion of the Happy Mondays album 'Bummed' as an example (!)

    Never did.

  • @drfaith martin hannet and others were just as bad as The Mondays.everyone was @it then!

  • CHEAP AS CHIPS

  • Where did it all go wrong?

  • Great video!!

  • I somehow managed to see this when it was first broadcast in 1989. It was on during the day and I recorded it on video. I've always found it hilarious that they were using the (pre-fame) Happy Mondays as an example of how to get ahead in the music business!

  • HAPPY MONDAYS WERE AWESOME BACK IN THE LATE 80S EARLY 90S GREAT TO SEE THIS OLD FOOTAGE FROM 1988 NATHAN WAS A GOOD MANAGER SETTING UP A 2 MILLION POUND DEAL WITH EMI

  • mcgough was a good manager - if he managed to get a 2million pund deal with EMI set up whilst they were all on smack and crack, he must have the gift of the gab

  • Priceless!

I was 17 when that album was released and it has been one of my favourite ever since. That brings up very fond memories.

  • "why's there been such a long gap since the last LP?"....."I don't know" ...haha. there'll never be another band as natural and as honest as the Mondays ever. You can't create that.
