In the finished version of the movie, Scar gives his eulogy for the Mufasa and Simba, and then introduces the hyenas. In this early version of that scene, he waits until his leadership is challenged by a lioness before introducing the hyenas with this different verse of Be Prepared.

I really think this scene should have been in the final take of the movie. I mean, it's quite a good scene actually, and it makes sense about how Nala ran away to find help.

Sure it's a dark scene, but come on, Disney has done that already... millions of times actually!

And about the age gap...well I'm pretty sure that Nala is a mature adult in "lion years"
