"Amazing Grace" by Frank Ticheli, performed by the Central Connecticut State University Symphonic Band at the Spring 2009 concert. Brian Hutton is the guest conductor.
Im playing this at my middle school, Im a s second flute so I got the solo at the end with the first flute. We are playing this song for a competition
My alma mater band sounds as good now as it did when I played that piece on that very stage some 20 years ago. That piece has always been of my favorites to play! Keep up the good work CCSU!
@NatalieGoesByBubble we are playing this in a week for a few hundred people. We play some really challenging and great stuff but this is my favorite song so far in my band experience.
I made a very special effort to visit John Newton's grave in Olney UK a few years ago and we had so much trouble finding it we had to view it in the dark as the sun sets in Britain at 4pm during December. I couldn't understand why the words "a wretch like me were in the song until I learned that he was a slave trader and gave it up to become a Christian and later on a minister ot the church in Olney
sounds good
