I remember being 6 yrs old, and living in Columbia, NC. This one one of the scariest days of my life and I'll never forget it.

If I remember correctly, Bonnie actually made landfall around 10pm or a little bit later than that. The storm basically stalled out over Wilmington or slightly northeastward of here as the map showed for quite sometime and then started moving slowly northward around 5 mph or so.
