muy interesante, el verdadero estadista no renuncia hacer consultas para informarse, pensar bien y decidir mejor. estos son los politicos que necesitamos: gente grande (con amplitud de miras).

JFK would eventually make the right move by negotiating with Khrushev to remove the missiles. It might've unfortunately cost JFK his life but it saved ours.

They could have done the same west of the Rhine but they ran into somebody else all together...

The Soviets did rule all of eastern Europe for the next 50 years.

I agree entirely. Hitler was nver going to land a single soldier on the beach. But nonetheless without US intervention the UK would have been awfully tempted to accept the many overtures from Berlin. Germany always wanted peace with England because of their insane racial views. UK would have been the only free country in Western Europe. That would be tragic. Either the soviets or the Nazis would be running Europe. Bad news for the UK either way.

Operation Sea Lion was never a remote possibility because the Germans never had control of the air or the sea.
Even if the Germans had not lost the Battle of Britain to the RAF, the much larger and much more powerful Royal Navy would have destroyed the Kriegsmarine.

Bullshit. That would explain the disasters at Dunkirk and Dieppe and the fact that they could not win a single inch of ground. You got lucky at Dunkirk by the way. A Panzer division arrived while you were still landing on the beach. They could have knocked UK out right there but Hitler gave the infamous stop order because the English are aryan. Dieppe was even worse.

The UK had already won the war in September 1939 when Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa etc all declared war on Germany.
World War II was a pointless waste of time. The UK should have remained neutral and let the Germans fight the Soviets.

Eisenhower beat Churchill in the debate and correspondance from 1953-55. Winston admitted this. I am glad that UK fought in the war and piss on the graves of the fascists. By 1942 the only UK ally left was Russia and they were not to be trusted. The allies only started winning ground in 1943 when the reich pivoted west to counter the inevitable US invasion. They also kept Britain afloat with supplies and money and won the west while defeating Japan. Brilliance at its best.
