All About Tanning!

I have been tanning since I was 16. I started tanning for dances in High School and now I tan for any special occasions and also so get that "base" tan as people call it before Summer. I cannot stand going into Summer with pasty pale legs lol.

When Tanning-
Make sure to stay moisturized
"Dry skin doesn't tan."

Use some kind of chapstick to keep lips moist.

Try to alternate sides.
**Tan on back, each side and stomach, your tan will be more even all over if you do so.

In my opinion, tanning lotions are a scam, other than the "tingle" lotions that bring your blood to the surface area that makes you tan faster.
Any lotion is better than none.

Hi I'm 16 and I really want to try tanning as I tan well in the sun but there's not much of it in England :) I don't know anything about it and I was just wandering do you notice a difference in your skin tone after your first one? And can you get sunburn if so are you supposed to wear suncream or anything with an SPF? Thanks - beth .x

@funkyfilly03 Hi Beth! Um well I usually see a difference the first time but only if use a 'sticker tattoo' , without one I wouldn't be able to see the difference because it is so subtle. But when I go tanning I use SPF 15 just so I am wearing some form of protection but always still tan :). Hope that helped!

i have been tanning for a few months, and i have that same issue. right on my neck and then a ring around my neck too.. & my sides don't get as tan as my stomach and back as well, so.. the last 6 minutes or so, i i turn on my side to get my sides and my arm pits. HAHA.

@justagirlinasweater One I was talking about regular tanning and two you check your logic. Spray tans also aren't exactly the best thing to do.

@Hellokitty88z Well thank you for calling me ugly, that was very nice of you :). I have had those wrinkles on my forehead since I was little (before I started tanning--for your info).
