Helicopter flying tutorial - Pestilence style (GTA IV)

This video shows how i have set up my controls in GTA IV to fly the helicopter. The video is only a manual, you need to practise this. Also you need a mouse with 2 thumb buttons, or a useable alternative.

NOTE: GTA IV doesnt support the mousebuttons "mouse 4" and "mouse 5" (the thumb buttons), but you can tweak your way around:
Logitech mouses come with the software "SetPoint", in wich you can bind "mouse 4" and "mouse 5" to any other keys you want. I did bind them to "j" and "k". So when i press "mouse 4" in the GTA IV controls, it says "j", when i press "mouse 5" it says "k". So i have set the controls pitch up and pitch down to "j" and "k", wich i can access through "mouse 4" and "mouse 5".

With EFLC im not sure how you did the camera stuff as in controls for EFLC their isnt a config to bind the right mouse button to camera lock.

@SkeeterUK I have recently bought both expansions. And the controls are the same (PC version on steam). The only difference is, that you have a secondary weapon in the little helicopter. I can still just hold the right mouse button in 3rd person view to freely look around.

@ToReEnT in GTA SA it was realistic, which was easier because your actions made sense now it´s like they wanted to simplify the controls, turning it into shitty and stupid. There´s no fucking way to control a chopper now thanks to their evolution.

I never had problems flying helicopters in gta4. Unfortunately firing from helicopter onto a moving target or a small target is next to impossible. On ballad of gay tony it took me 2 hours of real time to kill goons on mission sexy life. in gta4 itself it took me forever to shoot down helicopters for the mission or to chase a boat (which I never could even come close to hitting). I sincerely wish that gta5 will have better controls. sigh good old san andreas controls how i miss you).

its easier if u switched the heli controls and use the arrow keys to turn around and the up and down keys to tilt. EASY SHIT THAT I DONT KNOW HOW TO DO SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO GET GTA 4 AND WHERE!!
