happens to the best of us i guess...still a great performance!
-
Memory lapses or not, that coda was incredible!
-
i wouldnt have noticed those memory lapses if i hadnt known he did and looked more carefully... ~.o

CONCENTRATE on the fucking music. if you CONCENTRATE, you wouldnt have memory slips.
-
all the memory lapses he had are when he lifts his head to feel the music...he recovers when lowers his head to look at the keys.

I agree, I was performing the third sonata once and I know about memeory lapses!
Played a lovely Oscar Petereson like improv until I eventually got back into it.
Don't judge me too harshly, this very rarely happens and it was a good kick up theback side!

I've surveyed every rendition of this Chopin scherzo on youtube. This one ranks among the very best ones (memory lapses and all!) together with with Argerich's, Richter's and to a lesser extent Pogorelich's. Thank you for posting it. Dong-Min: you're an excellent musician, not just a technically gifted pianist. Keep going,
Gus Z.

he covered the memory lapses quite well. Watch Berezovsky's rendition of scarbo in mexico city: He destroyed the whole climax!!
can u imagine hoe nervous he became after each wrong turn? poor guy!!! really good, though!
