Each year, children of Serbian heritage around the world sing songs and say poems to the patron saint of the Serbs, St. Sava, on his day (January 27) or as close to the date as possible. Mim Bizic, a retired multi-award winning educator shares one of the poems to St. Sava her mother said when she herself was a young girl. A great educator, St. Sava taught the values of loving one another, unity, peace, of preserving the Serbian language and beautiful cultural heritage.
I'm so glad you are creating these videos, MIm! You will reach many people, and we can all feel like we are your students, which is a very good feeling indeed! Thank you for taking the time to produce these and for sharing them. You are awesome!

@AleksandraR2010 Thank you so much, Aleksandra, not only now, but for your kind comments always. You're one of the few who understands what I'm trying to do to preserve our culture and heritage. Thank you so much!

Thanks! But I used to tremble too, being so shy. Once I started crying.... but hey! You get over it..... St. Sava's Day poems serve you well in later years. I remember someone writing about how by the time you said about 10 declamaticas in your life, you were prepared for the marketplace/work force.
