I would say this song does speak to every individual in a unique way... it has a timeless and simplistic quality. The message for me is more of a melancholy and romantic overtone to an all encompassing love for the people in my life... with a special emphasis on one particular person.
I think this will be the song that plays as I escort my new bride down the aisle... we of more mature years can paint the song's sentiment with a broader brush having gathered more souls to us over time.
