crosman NPSS 177 nitro pellet gun... (newest version)

im suprised to be the first person to put a video of this gun on youtube. this is the first model npss from crosman. they may improve it in years to come but so far this gun is great. quiet, powerful and accurate. i have shot it close to a 1000 times and no problems. the all metal construction gives the trigger the feel of a real rifle. ive tried 7 different pellets and i have best accuracy and penetration with the cheap crosman pointed pellets and the gamo gold pba's. the RWS super points are very accurate but the cheap crosman pellets travel twice as deep into wood targets. it doesnt like crosman premiers, they dont fit well in mine. this pellet gun is a lot of fun and a unique shooting experience. im glad i bought it. it was about $330 with shipping.

It's $299 with fee shipping at Pyramydair. I have .22 caliber.

Compared to the daisy 1000 magnum, it's got 1/3 the recoil and almost no noise. Mine did not like the H&N crow magnums/

Mine arrived today. It's amazing how much quieter this rifle is than the Gamo Whisper. The scope is high quality too.

i got the $110 Storm XT & $350 Gamo Hunter & NPSS in black. The NPSS has GREAT ACCURACY but lacks the power. Good for planking but horrible for hunting. I tried to kill rabbit (I was going to eat it tree huggers) and i hit it and it got away(do worry i got it later with me Gamo).

@ltlrenati No, they are talking about the gas spring that uses gas just like the gass springs u see on car doors but much more powerful.

they say 950 fps. it's more like 650-740. no you don't need gas refills. it's an internal piston kinda like what you'd find on a hatchback door on a car.

In terms of sound, most air ram guns will be quieter than springed guns. This gun also has a thicker barrel than most airguns, making it even quieter. Their is also noticeably less recoil with air rams.

So to answer both your questions, it is quieter and has less recoil.
