this is a single center pole tepee type tarp shelter, that can be used with or without a pole, by being tied from a tree. It has no floor nor mesh screening but thes can be added if disired. It is one of the best made and versitile tarp shelters made today. At just about three pounds, including pole, stakes and lines, it's great and holds up to the strongest winds this side of antartica! :-)

  • Hey Everyone, GoLite has these on sale on their US Website for an amazing low price (Feb 2012). I have wanted one of these for two years, but couldn't justify spending $400 for the tarp and the Nest (bugproof floor). I got both from the GoLite website year-end sale for $208 total, shipping included). They are on sale until they are gone. These are 2011 models on clearance to make room for the 2012 model. Best bargain I ever found!

  • @Troutslayer07076 your right, its a great deal. and if you go to the site and subscribe, they run deals like this from time to time.

  • nice golite tarp tent, I have came up with a tarp tent design it is small but still a great shelter

  • @TheOutdoorsmanJoe sorry i missed this coment. but thank you for watching. better late then never. peace

  • That is a great looking shelter. Unfortunately in Australia where I live, if you sleep on the ground too many biting insects and spiders tend to have a party on your @#*. Nice vid. ;)

  • @phrayzar up on timber mountain, in the mount baldy range, scorpins are every where at night in the summer, i just take aling a 15 oz rei minimalist bivy, maing me bug, snake, scopion safe

  • @PHARRAOH i just bought a bug net that would fit with that perfectly.

  • @FixedByDoc a trecking pole works great but at times when im climbing or fly fishing, I dont carry these. so, a simple lite alum pole works great

  • if i had this i would be using my trekking pole. it is a really nice tarp.

  • Very nice Alan, looks very spacious. What do you prefer over the Golite or Nemo Meta II?
