@tonymarie1984 God bless you, Sir. What a sacrifice...How can anyone be the same after that. Patriotic non military people always say the right things, but man we have absolutely no idea how hard it must be. I cant stop thinking about his book. Makes me a bit guilty for not serving while others did.
@kasanj I was with that unit i was 3rd platoon Alpha company And yes it was very aweful and very traumatizing for alot of us as for myself I feel like the best part of me was left over there.
@tonymarie1984 This was rte pluto? I read the book and I was wondering what these roads looked like. I was imagining a much less well-paved area, much more narrow and burning trash piles everywhere. That was the impression given by Mr. Finkel. This road does not look like how it was described.
@Multimentalisti hey internet tuff guy if it wasn't for my friends that were in that vehicle you wouldn't have the right to talk or post the crap you do. because of soldiers like them and before them we have the right to say what we want so instead of talking shit you should show some damn gratitude scumbag!!!

David Finkel visited my school today and talked about The Good Soldiers. He showed this video during his presentation. His book is amazing.
