Actually, the song is NOT by Molly Hatchet, Greg Allman wrote this.

whatta jam!originally by molly hatchet

This song was written by Gregg Allman in 1968 and it is titled "Dreams". It was recorded by The Allman Brothers Band for their debut album in 1969. The Otis Redding song is an entirely different song, but I guess its possible Allman was inspired by it and came up with "Dreams". The Nite Liters use Allmans lyrics here in this funked up version. And yes, Molly Hatchet recorded this song as you hear it here in 1978.

fuck off youtube... 2½ stars? 5 it should be

OK -- anybody know for sure who did this rearrangement of the Allman Brothers' "Dreams" first -- the Nite-Liters or Buddy Miles? (Molly Hatchet didn't do theirs until years later)
-
Listen also to the version of Buddy Miles - this is his!

"The Nite Liters - I've Got Dreams To Remember" added from you dear raresoulcom on 11 May 2008 under the same title, is definetely referring to "DREAMS I'LL NEVER SEE"
lyrics: GREGG ALLMAN. the songtitle is not correct, if it calls itsef "I've got dreams to remember", cause this is a song from otis redding and got a different melody and different lyrics. well maybe they did not know themselves.
sorry but the song is called "dreams I'll never see" originally by molly hatchet. "I've Got Dreams To Remember" is a song by otis redding

you could or may be right. But this is a different version of "I've Got Dreams." lyrics completely different, although interestingly, they do give Otis Redding a writer credit on the 45. And I must correct you. This song title is correct
