My version of Rue's Lullaby from The Hunger Games

I'm a big fan of the hunger games so this is my version of Rue's lullaby. The melody is original but the lyrics are of course Suzanne Collins. The melody came to me as I was thinking about my cat whom I had to put down just recently. I thought how much I could relate to the characters when Katniss sang this to Rue. Then I thought how I would have sang it in the last moments I had with my lovely pet as she went to sleep. My boyfriend played the piano and I sang. I hope you enjoy it.

This is the best I've heard so far. It's lyrics are so warm, but the way it's sang and the way the piano is played is rather dark. Which is perfect in my opinion, because this is how I would imagine Katniss actually singing it, trying to be warm in her lyrics... but her being so sad that the rest of it would sound a little bit dark...

I know it's supposed to be warm and all, but let's get serious. Katniss was devastated, she probably wasn't warm and bubbly when she sang it. She was crying....it's dark. Now, can I get a download link?

Awesome! Check out this version of Rue's Lullaby that I found, Search "Rue's Lullaby Matt Hay" It's pretty Legit too.

This is by far my most favourite rendition of the Rue's lullaby. Your voice is so beautifully soothing, and the piano accompaniment really added to the haunting atmosphere. I also loved how it's in triple meter. You should sing the Hanging Tree!
