Matt White Dave Semenko 1989

Matthew White interviewed Dave Semenko for the cable-access show, West End Edition, produced for Rogers Neighbourhood Television in Vancouver in 1989. The longish intro is courtesy of Joe Leary (now morning man at CFUN radio), and Wendy Chapman. Their on-air chemistry produced sparks at the best of times. I will try to post some of their better moments. Matthew was, and for all I know -- is, a naturally talented wit and communicator who may have had a tendency to hide his flame under a bushel. At his best, he is among the best at what he does -- just listen to his banter at the end of the item, while he plays table hockey with Gretzky's "cop." (The game was Matt's idea; and just look at Semenko's intensity -- the only way he knows how to play hockey -- whether on ice or a cheap arcade game.)
