Two best 12-6 curves I've seen are both from ex- Orioles....Ben McDonald and...Oh man!!!!...Greg Olson's was sick!!!!!

Zito still has the best 12-6 curve to this day....but it was even nastier back then.. today its around 68-71 mph...pretty slow but its still a HUGEEE break like 3 ft above the hitter head....but Remember, the harder you throw, the sharper your pitches..back then he threw it at about 74-77 mph at the same height (3 ft above the hitters head)..but that velocity gave it that sharper effect, Like it hit a wall and just dropped Effect.....Like it LITERALLY dropped of a real table effect. so nasty.

@ThexLizardxKing right thats why it was voted best in the majors by espn magazine.

@superj8523 sorry i cant come to like someone who has play mediocre at best getting payed 18 mil a year..his ERA with the giants is 4.46 hmmmm...oh his era was actually 4.15 in september so uhh yeah I win
-
@blakoish He was fine most of May and lowered his ERA almost .40 in September. Come back to reality.

@18bites he did suck every month except april
-
@PlanetCazmoINSPIRE always happens when a player gets huge contract....

Such a nasty curve. Thanks for giving us such a great angle. Lets go Giants!
he's 3-0 in his last 3 starts, giving up 4 runs in 19 innings. if that sucks, then he can suck all year long.

look at greg maddux or jamie moyer, both sit low to mid 80's but are extremely effective because they have great command of every pitch. once zito can figure out his control issues and how to add and subtract from his fastball we will begin to see the great pitcher he used to be.
