Saying that a German song that is about pride is like saying an american song in the same mannor is about slavery, every country has a past that is less than favorable...not all Germans are Nazis believe it or not.

This song makes my mood so much better!

@riffrafferty13 Also: I forgot to mention that "Land" doesn't always mean "country" as in "the country of ___"; it can mean "the country", as in "not in the city".
-
@riffrafferty13 It can mean both. As far as my knowledge goes, Germans use "Staat" when they mean "country". Of course, "Staat" also literally means "state".

The tune is so catchy...dadamadadmdadad!!!
-
I could be wrong, but I believe "land" translates as "country".

@emopufferfish kinda the point of the song, pride for being 'German' ('of' and 'from' being the same here) BEFORE pride for Germany (the land/stones). At least that's the way it seems to me, I didn't write it.
It's against the wall, not on the wall.
"an" combined with a location can mean "gegen"

@LowStuff Thanks for the tip. That makes more sense, actually, so I'll add annotations about it now.
