  • Do I have to use a ziploc bag? how do you defrost the cake?

  • @conishuaa No you don't have to use a ziploc bag. Now days I just use ceram wrap and when I m ready to frost my cake I take it out of the freezer and let it sit for about 10-15 min. so it's not so hard if I am going to carve/cut the cake. I also found that leveling my cake after I put it in the freezer makes it a lot easier to level my cake.

If you are not cutting ur cake in any way and just want to frost it, you can do so straight out of the freezer.

  • I normally wait about 20 min. Another option is to let your cake cool for 20 min. then put it in the freezer wrapped for about 15-20 min till it's firm. Once firm then you can level your cake. I found it best when leveling my cake to do this after all the cakes I been making.
