A Prayer Vigil for Scarbuck

UPDATE (6/18/10 6pm): RIP Jim Quon AKA Scarbuck, you're leading raids in heaven now and I'll see you again in time.

UPDATE (6/18/10 12pm): According to Jim's ECG, his brain has shut down completely and his body is swiftly following. He remains on life support, but there is no hope of recovery. I want to personally thank everyone who participated in the vigil both while I was filming and in the days that followed, as well as those who have sent their love, donations, and prayers here and on Facebook. Jim would be proud to know so many people cared for him. Thank you all

UPDATE (6/17/10 5pm): While Jim's lungs have improved greatly over the last 16 hours, his movement and stimulus responses have decreased. Jim needs your thoughts an prayers now more than ever.

UPDATE (6/17/10, 1am): Jim has started taking breaths on his own! This means his body has starting to recover, but he is still too weak to be taken off life support. Please keep sending your thoughts and prayers to him and his family, he's not out of the woods yet.

I made this video as a tribute to my friend and WoW guildmaster Jim (aka Scarbuck of Anetheron, Guildmaster of the Knights of Good, official fan guild for the webseries The Guild). Please send you wishes and prayers to him and his family.

this is just so sad, i spent little time in the guild, but when i first signed up scarbuck was sooo great to me, even ran me thru stockades to lvl me faster, i took a break, and logged back on, first thing i asked was "where is scarbuck??" since he was almost always on, and thats when they told me, i was dumbstruck...he was the nicest guy for the short time i had the pleasure to know him, may he be playing wow with the angels! he will continue to level with all those that remain in the guild.

Exactly as the others said...theres not alot words can do but my thoughts are with you all...I was playing for a year until my guild fell to pieces, people started arguing, and some left, some stopped playing and others just went quiet, permanently. I was one of the ones who stopped playing, and every day I miss the guild I was in. As NightmaidenBOD said, they become much more than just a bunch of strangers, they're like an extension of your family.

I will be going up there on my server to say a prayer. Even though I have only been playing for 9 months, my guild is my online family. My thoughts and prayers are going out to his passing and to everyone he touched in his life. RIP and may the Val'kyr watch over you.
