I'm a little confused here... I was under the impression that Canada had a country wide, federal police force (RCMP)... this seems like there are municipal and provincial levels of police as well? Maybe someone can clarify?

@Pwnzor729 The RCMP is Canada-wide. In addition to providing policing at the federal level, it is contracted to many provinces and municipalities across Canada. Ontario and Quebec have their own provincial police services. Many cities, including most major ones, (and all municipalities in Ontario and Quebec) have their own police services. But in many parts of Canada, the RCMP provides federal, provincial, municipal, and first nations policing.

@sledgehammer911 Caprices and Impalas in those years were nearly identical. Among other minor details, Caprices had their reverse lights on either side of the licence plate, Implalas had them inside the centre of each tail light.

Also, there are First Nations Police, such as the Blood Tribe Police Service, Private Police forces that work for company's such as Canadian Pacific Railway Police and then of course the Military Police, which in most provinces, has the same power as a city police or the RCMP. They Military Police and the RCMP are Canada's two Federal Police forces.
