2. Prokofiev- "Lieutenant Kije" Suite, Mvt. 1. Quarter Note= 120bpm

3. R. Strauss- "Der Rosenkavalier" Suite- "Waltz"

4. Respighi- "Pines of Rome" Mvt. 1

5. Stravinsky- "The Firebird" Ballet (two sections)

6. Dvorak- "Scherzo Capriccioso"

  • 14 x 4 solid brass with guitar string for the soft snares (instead of wire), and a Remo M5 head.

  • What pearl philharmonic snare did you use for Lt. Kije?

  • Rosenkavalier has to be the hardest excerpt on timpani tuning-wise. You make it seem too easy to pedal so many notes! Especially that scale passape.
