Funny thing is that clowns are creepy but hardbodies in skimpy, tattered black are all that (jazz). Maybe it's because the clowns ham it up while the hardbodies thrust and gyrate through the same basic moves.
The Muppet Show was nothing but G-rated, a campy and fast-moving half-hour with your grown-up friends from Sesame Street. Anything creepy in that is something you brought in with you. Please police it on your way out.

the high wire act was apropos - the clowns .. eh? They could have eliminated the clowns and the solo muppet on the high wire would have made the song more poignant
