This is one of Turlough O'Carolan's best known pieces. I have a chordal arrangement of this tune, but the tune's melody is so beautiful that I prefer this simpler version.

According to L.E. Mc Cullough: "This piece was inspired by the folklore that surrounds two hills in Co. Leitrim said to be inhabited by the spirits of ancient warriors whose mortal bodies lie entombed within the hills. From time to time these spirits revive their quarrel..." Great story.
