I am quarter sawing a Hard Tiger Maple log. This log has curly grain.

  • Hi! great video!tell me please one thing: how you can determine if thr tree is curled or not?do you have to de-bark it a little bit or something?i have around 40 maple trees on my highland property, but they are not the same specie as i see one on this video.i have mountain maples (acer pseudoplatanus),at 1400m altitude...and your maple log is probably sugar maple (or "hard maple","rock maple"...)...or Acer Saccharum in latin..

    good like with instrument making!

  • how do i find one of these trees
