It strikes me that Superman isn't really so much out to rescue the world as impress his girlfriend most of the time (the two seem to always be connected). So what? The same could be said of most people who have done great things.

I'm 25 now but I remember that old worn out VHS tape I watched again and again as a little boy. These Fleischer Cartoons belong on a short list of animation worth preserving. Superman has never looked better.

I just assumed all animations done before the Super Friends would look just as bad. I was sadly mistaken. These old Superman cartoons are mini masterpieces of art and animation.
