  • You seem to be a felloww Geeta Dutt fan! OP Nayyar extracted the full magic in GD's voice. And where Lata's voice had innocence+dard and Asha's had naughtiness+dard, here we had GD possessing all these qualities! Plus she had an extra quality that the Mangeshkar sisters did not possess - and this is power in her voice. Just check out "Aa jaan-e-wafaa" from Anarkali and "Meri aan bhagwaan" from Toofan Aur Diya. Thanks.

    Well said abt GD. She was unique, OPN brought out many facets of her talent. Babuji dhire chalna just abt defined what their combination could do., Jhuka jhukake of Miss cocacola was of a totally diffferent class altogether. Chore lutere daku from ustad, sach sach of Miss coacola, bach bach bach of Farishta simply fantastic.
