@isfahanboy28 also i would recommend getting this book: Lonely Planet New Zealand. The best thing about Wellington is that everything is walking distance away. It was a 15 min walk into the city (which is clean and beautiful), 30 min walk to the beach, 30 min walk to the mountain and plenty of hiking trails around. So much to do in a small area and you don't have to worry about taking a bus. Go Wellington!

@isfahanboy28 Hey, I just got back from studying abroad at Victoria University of Wellington a couple months ago. Let me just tell you it was one of the most life changing experiences. My college offered me the choice of Victoria or Waikato and Victoria was the absolute winner. I spoke to people who went to Waikato and here's what they said "It's like the armpit of NZ, your still in beautiful NZ but you have to travel a decent distance to get anywhere."
