My 3rd and favourite Page and Plant concert, one of those perfect weekends!

---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- -------------------------
The complete show in very good sound quality from the original DAT master tape. I was stood
centrally and the crowd around me was reasonable quiet for a festival crowd. I had a problem
with my new microphones which was subsequently resolved by being exchanged for another set
by Coresound. To get a reasonable recording I had to have the record levels quite low to
stop the bass overloading the pre-amp. To compensate for this I have removed the very low
frequencies from this recording and then normalised it. I guess you might say I have
remastered it but I have only done the bare minimum to get the sound balanced and normalised.
The result is a clear recording and is very listenable.

This was a wonderful show for me, when they came onstage Plant pushed his chest out as if to
say "watch out we're here and we mean business", and boy did they deliver. Whilst I stood
there this show took me back to the 4th August 1979 when as a sixteen year old kid I stood
in that huge field at Knebworth and saw Led Zeppelin for the very first time so on that
August Bank Holiday in 1998 it was quite an emotional moment for me I remember having tears
in my eyes when Page played the solo in Heartbreaker - he really nailed it.
