Walking downtown Evanston, starting at the Farmers Market

Evanston is the closest-in of Chicago's North Shore suburbs and its downtown rivals almost any neighborhood in Chicago as a classically urban environment.

Earlier this morning I met Andy Kiener at Grand Bend at Green Bay, at the edge of downtown, for a walking tour of downtown.

We started with a look at Grand Bend, where Andy's overseeing sales, and then walked a block and a half to the Farmers Market, which most would concede is the best on the North Shore.

In later segments we continue our tour, stopping for a look at the rich array of shops, restaurants, bars and scenes in downtown Evanston.
