DEFEAT SB1314- The Scourge of Texas Health Care Legislation

Our country has found out that MONOPOLIES are BAD ! Well, here in Texas, the TMB or Texas Medical Board, if they have their way, would "run the show" and monopolize health care, and in my opinion, NOT for the better. One step on that ladder is SB 1314, which would take away the practice of acupuncture from dedicated, well trained Chiropractic doctors who are specially trained to perform acupuncture.
Tell the Texas Medical Board that they cannot unilaterally tell your Doctor of Chiropractic, NO, you cannot practice acupuncture and help your patient. MDs have long treated acupuncture as if it were useless, and they still, do not accept the centuries old explanation of Traditional Chinese Medicine as to the reason it works, and if the MDs use acupuncture, it is usually for the relatively primitive usage of simple pain control. Acupuncture should not be used in the "cookie cutter" fashion that the medical board would prescribe.

Give YOURSELF the option of picking the doctor YOU WANT to receive acupuncture treatment from.
The bill has passed the Senate. You can defeat the bill if enough people contact their House Representative and demand they oppose this wrongheaded legislation that would do harm to Texas citizens by decreasing the numbers of qualified doctors using acupuncture as a treatment regimen.
