hi! thanks for this. i'm with sue, the way you washed the bag seemed kind of rough. is it essential to scrub/rub it to get it really clean and free of sprout bits?

My sproutman's bag says not to use detergents & such....only place the bag in boiling water to disinfect it. So I can use your methods without ruining my bags?

the water discolored from the soak could possibly be used as dye (like onion skins can) !
If you can't use it in arts/crafts yourself maybe you have an artsy/crafty friend who would love to have it !
