As two hundred people walked by, my bike that was laid on the grass during a fundraiser, was stolen.

As many people do in our community, they put time aside for worthwhile causes, and i gave of my time to videotape the event for the record for AIDS Thunder Bay. When everyone had left, my bike was gone!

Reviewing the video, you can see a young man around 14 years of age pick up and leave with my bike.

How brazen of an act. How thoughtless and inconsiderate. Luckily the police were able to return me safely to the closing ceremonies after reviewing the video, and collecting evidence, the thief left his bike behind.

I am upset that i didn't lock my bike, even when it was in full view of all the walkers, and myself, and even then some young man thought he could steal it. So if you see me out walking now it's because this is the city i live in!

Did anyone near the end of the line see two boys on bicycles ride by the line. They would have come from a path on the right, as the walkers were proceeding up hill. My bike had a blue t-shirt tied to the it which was thrown right at the point where the trail meets the sidewalk. The young man is around 14 years of age, 5'6", 110lbs, dark sweat pants with white mosaic along the side. Black running shoes with white sole. Baseball cap with a lot of embroidery.

Hope you catch that little shit! I would hate to have my bike stolen.... If you cant afford it stealing is not the anser....... Work for your fricken money!

UPDATE:

Today i was asked to go to Petrie's Cycle and sports to pick a new bicycle. An anonymous person donated money for me to buy a new bike!!!!! That is an incredible surprise. I am so happy! But our work is not done yet. We still need to find that young boy and get him on the right track so he can contribute something better to our community than causing people upset.

I hope they find this little bastard. Probably just ditched the bike. I'm sure he watched this. I posted the link on the tbnewswatch website.
