My C64 developed a problem after one too many homemade flashcards had been plugged into the expansion slot and one too many resets had been done on the reset switch I'd mounted myself. I had an early version where the soundchip had legs covered in gold. Apparently they replaced the motherboard to fix it so the innards was completely different when I got it back. It worked, but I felt so ripped off. The C64 sound was awesome, but I was convinced it was never the same after that switcharoo!

I liked the theme song to "Commando" as well, not to forget "Fur Elise" which was played on "Elite". Finally there was the "chariots of fire" song; I think it was from Summer Games..... oh so many great memories. Funny that you can still find it interesting today, with the crap graphics and the slow speed; and still turn around and knock the graphics on a 2010 game for not being realistic enough... the rose tinted glasses of yesteryear....

My favorite on the C64, was the 16 second sequence of Paul Hardcastle's "19".
