This was the second to last song I wrote for Heights before we opened on Broadway, relatively late in the rehearsal process. This was our first time singing it through together. We didn't get very far.

    Its so weird to see them mess up! In my mind all Broadway actors are just PERFECT during every run, nice to know they still are human and make mistakes too! :)

    It's so funny to think that this song once was tricky to learn, that it didn't proceed inexorably according to the the tune that is indelibly engraved on all our hearts! Any fan could sing this now from memory....but Karen had to learn it once :D
