Massive all grain HAUL! (1/4)

The microphone was having a LOT of problems during this filming. I appoligize for the rough looking cuts.. I was actually amazed I was able to get it to come out so good. I thought about doing it all again because the audio problems were that bad. It's good enough though hehe..

I am in no way affilated with www.morebeer.com. This was the only place that I could find that had a shopping cart with fair, live shipping rates to Canada. (No midwest doesn't ship to Can). Overall I will definatly order from them again and they get my seal of approval. I like the fact they are big, it means my yeast, hops, grains, etc should be nice and fresh.

The total for everything including, tax, currency conversion, shipping was $170.

A haul is when you buy stuff, bring it home, and show it off on Youtube. You should give reasons why you bought it and your expectations on the products. In Bill Gates book 'The Road Ahead' he said there would be a day when consumers would determine whether products where good or not and it would force companies into making better products becuase the information super highway would ensure that consumers can finally speak to one another on whether something is worthwhile or not, good value or not etc.

Hopefully morebeer gets back to you. If they charged you for 13lbs than you should expect 13lbs. Oh and maybe your next haul should be a new mic. This is the 3rd video that has audio issues. I say bring on a new mic.

Nice haul. I'm interested to see how your starter comes out using the dry Safale. I've been using the liquid Wyeasts and I love them, but the dry is half the price.

You didn't mention it, but I hope you got your grains pre-crushed.

@jturie Yup the grain is pre-crushed. I consulted BobbyFromNJ and he said that since it's a light grain, I should be able to hit 1040. But I'm still thinking of upping 2lbs of 2 row to make the grain bill 12.5 lbs so I can get 5% alc.

Why are you so excited about S04? It's just a whitbread variant. And to say there's no 'fruitiness' is just wrong. S04 can produce considerable esters. Also I hope you weren't going to make a starter with the Safale. That little bit of pbw wont last very long. Get some oxiclean or oxymagic.

Is there some kind of youtube advantage to making your videos 11 minutes? I noticed that sometimes your drag things out to fill in time, and most of your videos are exactly 11 minutes. Whats with that?
