Clips from Mega Man 2 (NES) that show off bloopers, glitches, tricks, and other cool stuff that didn't make it into the final cut of Nathaniel's run of the game, which you can view here:

Highlights include various jumping mishaps, abuse of the falling physics, a ladder that does not want to be climbed, fun with the Time Stopper, and an incredibly strange glitch that transports Mega Man to a bizarre version of Dr. Wily's castle.

  • Yup.

  • @GeminiLaser I can explain you why the Graphics of the Sprites in the Backloop of Airmans Stage are Working while the Rest of the Graphics is Trash:

See: Every Hallway of the game has a Sprite Sheet for all Sprites in the certain Hallway, but the Graphics of the Floor are loaded for every stage and not for the Hallways. I guess The Developer made it this way because it would take the length of the Intro scene of the Robot Master just to switch the Graphic sheet.

  • The technical explanation isn't that complicated really. All the stages are contained in one linear piece of memory in the game so if you manage to somehow go past the end of a stage the game just keeps loading the next section of memory which could be anything. Each tile is represented by a number so when the game skips to the new piece of memory the wrong tiles are loaded, Leading to the wrong tile/number combinations.

I Hope you enjoyed the needlessly techy explanation ;)

  • Nice!

  • @GeminiLaser im re-trying though, im not giving up untill beat that annoying Dr. Wily

  • Aw, boo! But that's great progress!
