World's Finest: The Beginning is the start of a new campaign. World's Finest: The Beginning takes place two years before World's Finest: White Apocalypse. My previous campaign, "White Apocalypse" was detailing a team-up between Batman and Superman as they faced the combined forces of Lex Luthor, Vandal Savage, Joker, and the invading White Martians.
"The Beginning" is the prequel to "White Apocalypse" and it details the two heroes' first meeting, where Batman (Christian Bale) is attempting to bring justice and order to Gotham City. Unfortunately, crime lord Carmine Falcone has a strong grip on the city's underworld. It's not long before other such rogues like Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy) and Ra's al Ghul (Liam Neeson) get involved. As Batman struggles to bring unleash his fearful justice upon them, he realizes that a greater plot is behind the sudden appearance of these villains. The artificial intelligence cyborg Brainiac (portrayed as Megatron or any 'Transformers' robot) has come to earth to obtain its knowledge. To do so, it has enlisted the help of the three rogues. Unknowingly, Superman (Brandon Routh) travels to Gotham to destroy Brainiac, only to be drafted as an ally to assist Batman in saving the world from the cybernetic intellectual organism- Brainiac.
