  • @ComputerTechTV hey man what do i use to seal the unwanted holes on my case to prevent dust from entering.

  • @markmarcellus94 You could use to things for a cheap solution; electrical tape for no airflow, or if you had some filter type material like the thin foam that comes in some hardware boxes that would work if you wanted air but no dust. Used both methods work great.

  • i have custom build pc. my case didn't come with a fan, so i bought a 120m fan and put in the back. my question is that how many case fan do i need. i am typically a home user. so what direction should i place the fans. also i want the fan to be quit thank u

  • @century20001 I depends on case really but if theirs spot for single fan use it as exhaust since most of the time its in the rear. If you have 2-3 set front to intake and rear to exhaust, the side panel can be either, top fan exhaust, and bottom fan intake.

  • The more INTAKE fans the LOWER the pressure, thus getting less dust.

The magic formula is to have 1 or 2 more intake fan/s than you have exhaust.

The exhaust fans should be going to the top of the case while the intake fans should be nearer to the bottom.

  • @ChadAgWing Spot on man =)

  • @MrAvatar9999 troll? he just said what a balanced ratio is. Lets do some math 6 fans total half than and its 3. Try 3 intake and 3 exhaust

  • So, what would you say to this setup:

    front: intake

    side: intake

    back: exhaust

    case: cooler master elite 311

  • No doubt that positive airflow is the way to go. Air will eventually go out, it won't be trapped, but at the same time, you'll have a lot less dust accumulation than with negative airflow. Of course the intake fans should be dustfiltered.

  • great vid and exsplanation in most cases with lots of vent holes possitive pressure is almost always bestthink of possitive pressure like a baloon what happens when a ballon is over pressureized it will explode all air outi personally wouldnt bbuy a case unless it was optimized for possitive pressure witch is why ill never give up my 932

  • understood! thanks yo

  • @CNNPacific I admitted I got the names in reverse in my older comments.

  • Sir, I only have 2 fans, one in the side and other at the backside, is it ok to set it as, the side fan is inward airflow and the backside fan as outward airflow.. plus the powersupply at the back that has its fan taking air from inside the case and flow it out the back.. pls help.. thanks, sorry for my bad english.. hehe..

  • @ChadAgWing no spot off you stupid idiot... i mean your name is chad comon... intake fans INCREASE pressure because they are putting more air INSIDE the case, where as exhaust fans LOWER the pressure because they are relieving the case of AIR. but you are right about the last comment... i prefer all exhaust fans and if u clean ur computer internals once every couple months you will be good.

  • @ComputerTechTV thanks alot bro! you saved me some trouble :)

  • Thanks for sharing that with us
