Sadly many people say this is 1 is the one that has been edited. They are wrong the 1 that clearly looks like a midget is the one that has been edited. They just have it backwards. They have record of a crane being on set that day!!!!!!

Watching the movie on my big screen. It's a large bird. I could see the wings and beak..
It was probably there just for background for the scene and it just didn't move until that part of the scene. If someone hung them self they wouldn't swing completely horizontal like that. Not without going down first.. And then they'd bob around a little.

No munchkin killing himself.......it is a crane or a large bird.

It was a bird stretching his wings out

I doubt its suicide, but The Great Depression ushered suicide constantly and some people from the movie must know what happened and documented it.

Nope...no one but Judy Garland was ever considered for the part (save for a VERY brief look @ Shirley Temple), and why would someone who didn't get a part be hanging around a closed film set long after they would've been told to get lost? Besides, given the cutthroat nature of the biz, anyone who'd kill themselves over not getting a film role wouldn't last a week in Hollywood! LOL
