My name is Stacia Rice and I am an actress and the Artistic Director of Torch Theater. I began acting in the Twin Cities at the age of 12 at the Children's Theatre Company. Throughout my career I have had the pleasure of performing on numerous Minnesota stages, including The Guthrie Theater, Park Square Theatre, Ten Thousand Things Theater, Gremlin Theater, Illusion Theater and Torch Theater. Although performing is my first love, introducing new people to the performing arts ranks a close second.

I used to be a student at MCAD and my roommate worked at the Children's Theater. I have always liked going to the Children's Theater, and I would go see the Christmas Carol every year at the Guthrie. MN was so much fun.

I use to live in the North Loop area. Theatre de la June Lune. It's the best!!! And just a short walk from my loft. Also the Guthrie Lab. Is the Lab still open? For some really off-beat stuff. The Red Eye Theatre. Don't forget Balls Art on North 2nd Street. Makes me want to move back!
