what if you just want strangulation i am trying to do this for my film i am making and need to know what kind of make up i will need to buy

For strangulation you're going to want to make bruises. Lipstick and eyeshadow are the cheapest ways to make bruises.

The standard for bruises is purple (try a lipstick in a plum) but adding blues, greens, and yellows will give depth and add realism.
