Just a couple pics with a backing track of my Splawn Quickrod.
This was a wet/dry/wet test clip. Used the OS2x12 as dry and two Krank Rev Jr cabs stereo wet. FX used were a Boss Chorus Ensemble, Boss RV-5 Reverb and BBE Sonic Stomp. Wylde Wah used up front.
A good friend of mine wrote the riff, i wrote the lead.
The ProMod would be a decent compromise between the two. The only difference between the PM and QR are the power tubes. QR's run on el34s and PMs run on KT88's. The Pro Mod will have a little more low end and high end. The QR will be much more raunchy in the midrange.
The Nitro has the same amount of gain, but it is a little more saturated. It also focuses more on the lower mids.
You can throw an EQ in the loop of any and fine tune it.
Can't tell you how the SLO and Splawns compare

What if you like Lynch from 80'/90's and Tremonti from now?? Gotta buy both? Can't afford both....
How does the Soldano SLO compare to a Splawn, try not to be biased please...lol
Also, what about the ProMod Splawn
Also again, there is a guy selling volume control pedals on ebay that you hook up to the effects loop and allows you to crank the amp and turn it down so you can get the good sound at lower volumes. Think it's like Scotts new volume switch on the loop?

Mine is a 2006 3 Preamp tube model. It does not have the upgraded clean channel. Some say it's a tiny bit more aggressive than newer ones.
If you like 80's metal, the QR is the way to go. If you are into more modern rock, get the Nitro.

Hey what year model is this QuickRod?
I can't decide between the QR and the Nitro.....
