@93tegDA True, foreign R34 Skylines have a single reverse lamp on the left hand side of the vehicle. However, to be U.S. DOT compliant, it must have two, thus the need to remove the right hand side fog light and replace it with a reverse lamp. Does that mean it's not a kit car? No, it still could be, but we'll never know from this picture.

@JDMMotorSports It is not illegal to own a R34 Skyline in the United States. MotorX, I'm sure you've heard of them, were illegally importing R34 Skylines to the U.S. to avoid additional customs inspection and taxation (thus increasing the retail price of the vehicle stateside). Their were importing them as parts and putting them together. DOT has done the safety certification of the R34 and they are legal in the U.S., some 10 years ago. You might want to get your info straight.

@bigkckrva Do you hear that? That's the incorrect buzzer sound. RHD cars are NOT illegal in the United States. They do not even require special permits for registration and licensing. It is ILLEGAL to own a foreign car that has NOT been safety inspected in the U.S., such that the glass does not meet DOT standards and crash test certified. RHD vehicles are perfectly legal in the U.S., do some research and get your facts straight.

@JDMMotorSports YES it is ILLEGAL in the U.S..but theres ways around it as well. In VA (Commonwealth) area alot of DMV deals with Military familys that ship cars from other countrys (RHD) and registered them here in VA. I've seen a Nissan Skyline R34 (RHD) GT-S Turbo here, i've seen a 2008 BMW M3 (RHD) and a Ferrari F430 (RHD) and a Black (RHD) Nissan R35 2010 as well. So yea u have to registered the right way and in VA? As long it has ALL its VIN#? Met all regulations? U should be ok in VA..
