when i first heard about this film a couple weeks ago i thought this might be a change for the good. but it seems we are dealing with more of the same just with a tarantino twist of extra on talking and gross violence. read what those who read the script had to say about the upcomming film now in pre production and set to hit the silver screen in 2011.

samuel l jackson, kevin costner and leonardo dicaprio might also be in this film.

  • If what I read in that blog you linked is true, then it's really no surprise to me.

I don't even bother watching movies anymore because of all this 'Mighty Whitey' crap and the fetishizing of women of color.

In my opinion, I see way more creativity coming from internet users than from any Hollywack director. I would rather watch films and read stories from folks on the inter-webs than watch some Hollyweird garbage.

  • @striker1224 thats funny cause the wife and i were talking about the white jesus hero saves the black people, brown people and even blue blue people shown again and again and AGAIN. thats just the tip too.

  • @TheAmericanEvita Seriously, to ask Tarantino to make a generic, biased historical reenactment is like telling Jimi Hendrix to stop doing a guitar solo. When someone has a standard genre or style of art, you can't just hate on it because it's different. Inglourious Basterds wasn't a historical drama, but it was still well-written, filmed, and acted. It had a lot of subtext, believe it or not. You're just the type who judges anything that isn't the same as a Spielberg blockbuster.

  • The film is identified as a western. I can image why realistically Jamie needs a white side kick in "The South" shit back then freed papers could come up missing & your ass would be back in the fields that's the sad truth. If done right this could be a start of a great trilogy

  • I would like to see this made into a prequel for "boss nigger film." If you didn't know Boss N' is about two black bounty killers looking for a white criminal in a white town I'm pretty sure this white side kick in the movie that you believe Jamie will play second fiddle to will be killed in movie.

  • People chill the fuck out! Quentin is going to make this realistic as possible. Yes female slaves were rape, yes male slaves were castrated, yes there were uncle toms at every plantation, it happen so there is nothing you do about it! If your hoping this movie is gonna be politically correct your in a world of hurt

  • @Thankyou3403 sure.....

  • @Texfield91 you should know best.

  • @Thankyou3403 It must be rough to be an intolerant bigoted jackass.

  • @Texfield91 It's gotta be rough being a stupid cracka and idiot.

  • @JezebelFilmsLtd you called yourself appropriately an idiot. There is no reason for a narrative piece about slavery in 2012. We have plenty of them already

& if u want 2 know @ slavery go read a book or go 2 the library of congress. I'm sure the real slaves would not appreciated this movie. Let's just colorize birth of a nation and cut through the chase. Btw here is a news flash for you all Africans in the Americas were not slaves. since u r an idiot you missed the point.

  • @Thankyou3403 You're being ridiculous. You are so smug and hypocritical it's not even funny. You keep saying I am a racist and I am a cracker, when YOU are the only one displaying racism. The film could be about the days of slavery. It could also be about the days when the slaves were freed. You don't even follow the same common sense you tell me to follow.

  • @Thankyou3403 Okay, sir, I didn't call you any derogatory remarks so I'm going to ask that you stop calling me a cracker. And no, I think that when SPIKE LEE makes movies his goal is to talk about how racist white people are. Every one of the movies are about race and they insinuate that racism only comes from whites. But it is to be expected that you support such a view, since you keep calling me a cracker.
